About Us

Jennifer Goudy and Lydia Klene, the founders of NOFAS-VA, are both adoptive parents of children with FASD.  Both full-time moms, over the past decade, Jennifer and Lydia have gained a wealth of knowledge about FASD along with co-morbid disorders by involving themselves with their kids' intensive interventions.  Other common disorders they deal with on a day-to-day basis include ADHD, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, learning disabilities, language and communication disorders to name a few.

In addition, Jennifer and Lydia have been active with NOFAS, participating in support groups, lobbying Congress for FASD legislation, speaking before the Maryland FASD Task force, speaking before Congressional aides focusing on health issues and more.  Because of their history with NOFAS, they were a perfect fit for the Virginia affiliate when many needs were identified.

Their hopes are that as their organization grows, they will provide more direct services across the state to people and families affected by FASD. Please contact them at any time with any questions, concerns or needs.  All calls are welcome!
